“Not all those who wander are lost” – J.R.R. Tolkien – this partial quote from The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (the full poem is known as The Riddle of Strider) has always been a favourite of mine. As a traveller and trained travel journalist, I’ve always felt that I’m a vagabond. I love getting lost in new places and discovering so much more in the process than if I had stayed on tourist-trodden paths.
